Hey M Girls,

When we caught up with Megan and Liz on International Women's Day (Friday, March 8), they were supporting an organization called Girl Up! You've probably seen the music video of the song Victoria Justice wrote for Girl Up, so we thought we'd give you a little more info about it!

Girl Up is a "for girls, by girls" campaign that's raising money for teen girls all over the world! A lot of girls in other countries don't have the same opportunities to go to school and see doctors -- and this needs to change!

Here's what Megan and Liz had to say about Girl Up and getting involved:

What made you want to partner with Girl Up?

Well, Girl Up has been really supportive of us and we're all about girl power in our music and in what we do. We were raised by a single mom, so it's really empowering that they believe girls can change the world and so do we!

Why is it important for girls to help each other?

I think it's important for girls to help each other because girls understand other girls the best! Guys are guys, but I think girls just really get it. It's the best way to get the greatest help if other girls are helping.

What's the best part of performing at this event today and being able to give back?

The fact that we can use our voices as musicians to help girls help girls around the world. It feels good that we're using our voices to help!

Are you singing any girl power songs tonight?

We're singing one called "Princess Charming" that's one of our originals. It's about how the girl saves the guy and we're the Princess Charming to the guy instead of Prince Charming to the girl.

What can M Girls do to give back and help each other?

Volunteer and find something you're passionate about! Donate your clothes--I think that's a really big one. It takes no time and when you get rid of stuff, it could really help out another girl. If you have a prom dress that you're gonna wear once and you donate that, it could be someone's dream prom dress!

In the middle of our chat, the girls took a quick beauty break. Megan painted Liz's nails with M's Beauty Editor's polish she had laying at the bottom of her purse -- LOL!
