I went to a birthday party at my friend's house and was waiting by the door for my mom to pick me up after the party ended. A cute guy I know started walking in my direction, so I smiled and waved. He leaned down toward me, and I thought he wanted to give me a hug, so I hugged back. But it turns out he was just reaching for his jacket on the table right next to me! He pulled away from my hug with a weird look on his face. Awkward!
