Hey M Girls!
Tonight, Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroneyand and Aly Raisman all made history tonight by winning the gold medal at the U.S. Olympic team final!
They edged out Russia and Romania for the top spot -- final scores were U.S.: 183.596; Russia: 178.530 and Romania: 176.414.
It's been 16 years since the U.S. last won gold as a team and the girls were pleased that they reached their goal. "This couldn't be possible without everyone stepping up today," Jordyn Wieber said. "Everyone did their job and was completely amazing. I am so excited."
Even though fans have been calling them the "Fab Five", after tonight, McKayla Maroney says the team deserves a new name: "I like Fierce Five," she said. "Because we are definitely the fiercest team out there."
Leave your congrats to the U.S. women's team below!
