Hey M Girls!

Recently we had the chance to chat with prep-school student turned pop star Jackson Harris! While Jackson's high school experience may have resembled the world of Gossip Girl, everything changed when he decided to pursue music!

Check out our convo! The cutie dishes on school, music, and the holidays:

M: Can you tell us how you got started in the industry?
Jackson: I was born and raised in New York City, went to one of those very poorly described private schools from Gossip Girl. Once college came around, people were saying you should go here, you should go here and Ivy League schools and this that and your grades, and for me it was always about music and I ended up getting into a few schools, but decided to just not go and thankfully, my mom didn't flip out too much about that and (I) started producing music, writing my own music, and slowly got my manager now that I work with and we've just been building on that and been able to write and record and produce my own music on my own label and it's been really really neat and growing up in New York City has definitely lent itself to that.

M: We saw your video for "All I Want for Christmas Is You"! (Check out the vid here) is it true you shot it in your local toy store?
J: Yeah, we shot it in the toy store, which was a lot of fun, distracting, but a lot of fun. And yeah, it's a big song, so I kind of wanted to do my own fun little take on it and we had fun.

M: What are some of your favorite things about the holidays?
J: The food. I like the shops and the window dressings and all that stuff in New York City. My favorite thing about the holidays is really not even during the holidays, it's the Thanksgiving Day Parade, like that's my favorite day. It's the Thanksgiving Day Parade and then the dog show right afterwards is always like my favorite thing to do on any holiday, so that's probably number one. Yeah, New Year's is pretty awesome.

It's almost Christmas, and what better way to get into the spirit than with a bunch of Holiday music! Take a listen to Taylor Swift singing one of our fave songs "Santa Baby." Hearing her take on the festive tune def gets us in the Christmas spirit! T even wrote a little message to fans alongside the vid, saying, "Hey, guys! Sorry about all of the misspellings. I made this pretty late and was really drowsy. Thanks! :)."

How great is it to hear our fave celebs singing Christmas tunes during the holidays? The most recent stars to take on Christmas classics are Victoria Justice and Max Schneider with another one of their epic videos!

Not only did the pair do a festive medley of The Christmas Song, Baby It's Cold Outside, Santa Baby, Last Christmas, and Sleigh Ride -- they also put together the coolest music video ever!

Rumors have been swirling that Selena Gomez broke up with Justin Bieber again--only this time for good. Sel was reportedly heartbroken after she found out that JB was hanging out with her ex Nick Jonas last week and decided to end things with him once and for all.

A source close to the couple says, "At this point, Selena isn't going to any of Justin's concerts ever again. She doesn't want to speak to him anymore and told him it's over. Hanging out with Nick proved that he wants to just be a jerk about this, and Selena's sick of being heartbroken. They are finished, and I think it's for good this time. Justin and Nick Jonas hung out all night. Selena was crying about it. He wouldn't even return her calls when she found out and called him up." Aww, this makes us so sad.

Over the weekend VH1 held their DIVAS Live Concert where loads of talented ladies took to the stage to unleash their inner divas!

Harry Styles is so cute! I mean, who else do you know that can make a Christmas sweater look that good? The 1D heartthrob was def in the holiday mood and decided to rock not one, but two very colorful looks. "Christmas Jumpers are out!!" Harry wrote alongside the pic. "Get in. Feeling festive!"

Are you as excited for One Direction's new music video as we are? Unfortunately, "Kiss You" won't be released today like it was originally planned, but instead it'll come out on January 7. Here at the M office, we were psyched to find out that Justin Bieber is putting out another acoustic album next month, but now Beliebers everywhere have something else to look forward to! ABC is developing a new sitcom based on Justin's life in his "awkward teen years" before he got famous -- LOL!

For this upcoming sitcom, JB would play a new role -- executive producer alongside his manager, Scooter Braun. The show is def still in the very early stages, so we'll absolutely keep you posted as soon as we hear any new scoop!

-Would you watch a Justin Bieber sitcom? Which other stars should have their own TV shows?

Hey M Girls,

Today's the day Pitch Perfect comes out on DVD! We caught up with Skylar Astin, who plays Jesse, and he gave us deets about the featurettes on the DVD, his favorite performances, and the songs he'd love to cover if they make a sequel...yep, we're crossing our fingers, too!

How did you find out you got the part?

I was on a night shoot for this movie 21 and Over that's actually coming out in March! It was about 7 p.m. and I was actually heading into work because on night shoots, you work all throughout the night. One of my agents was crying (when he found out). He's been with me for a long time and I think he just knew what an opportunity this was and how great and big this movie could be for me. It was a really great moment and it was weird -- it was around the holidays too, so he was very excited.

What kind of special features will be on the DVD?

I don't wanna make any promises, but I would bet all my money that there will be several outtakes and deleted scene type things, especially with Rebel, Anna, and the improv going on on set! I know that even when we were shooting, we had some things we knew wouldn't make it into the movie. The director and everyone involved would say, "this is for the DVD, this is for the DVD!" That's the kind of thing that you hear a lot when you're on set, but I know that especially with the comedy, you can definitely plan on seeing those!

Were there any songs that you filmed that never ended up in the movie?

There were a lot of versions that die-hard Pitch Perfect fans will be able to pick up on. In the featurettes, you'll see us rehearsing things that aren't quite in the movie. There's things that never really saw the light of day, but in pre-production, we were kind of workshopping everything. There were definitely songs that were changed last minute or didn't really work out. I don't think there will be full-on filmed versions of songs that didn't make it in, but there will be pieces you'll be able to check out!

What was it like working with you this amazing cast of people?

I think in a week, we're having one of our many reunions, dinners, or parties! We all still keep in contact and I see certain cast members on more of a weekly basis. We all have maintained really solid friendships and I think that's because we just had such a level of trust, intimacy, and fun. You're basically doing something that feels like putting on a play and we had this grueling rehearsal period together where we all bonded. We got to go on set every day and sing and dance and make people laugh! I think it would be kind of a drag if we all didn't get along and took ourselves a little too seriously. Thankfully no one on that set had that attitude!

Do you have a favorite musical number from the movie?

I really loved the audition sequence because I think it kind of lifts the movie off in a great way and I just love how it introduces a lot of the characters that kind of flesh out the story. You really see Rebel in full action for the first time, which is really funny. I think it captures the spirit and lifts the movie off to it's second act in a really great way. I guess a really close second would have to be the girl's finale. It's the total climax of the movie and it's just a phenomenally performed medley.

Are there any songs that you wish you could have sung in the movie?

It's so embarrassing that I can't even tell you, but whenever I listen to the radio these days, there's a bit of dork inside of me that's like "man, maybe if there was a Pitch Perfect 2, I could do that song". I know that in an earlier draft, Jesse was supposed to sing "Cry me a River" instead of "Feels like the First Time". I think that would have been cool if we put that at least somewhere else and there's a little piece of me in character when we meet Jesse we see him singing "Carry on My Wayward Son" in the cab, and I wish that I got to actually do that song in its entirely maybe as a bonus track on the album or maybe sneaking it into our finale or something like that just to bring it full circle. I really wouldn't change a thing about the movie. These are just selfish things that the nerd inside me would want to see.

Get this -- the adorable Bailee Madison just left the M office (see her above with our whole staff!) and while she was here, she had to tell us about a super-funny embarrassing moment that happened right before she got here! You see, Ms. Madison was in NYC filming "The View" (a talk show with a bunch of hosts, including one named Joy!) Anyways, when Bailee was leaving she went to what she THOUGHT was the car picking her up to drive her to the M office. She heard the driver saying "Joy" and assumed he was just full of lots of holiday cheer, so she sang back "Joy to the World". It turns out... the car was actually meant for "The View" host Joy and NOT Bailee! Oops -- talk about funny!
